Medview Airlines will become general sales agent (GSA) to Saudi Arabian Airlines cargo division in Nigeria’s two largest cities, according to the local Vanguard newspaper.

The newspaper stated that Medview’s general manager, David Babatunde, had disclosed this information on the arrival of the airline’s inaugural flight to the Nigerian capital, Lagos, and had added that his company had been chosen due to its strong track record in airlifting Muslim pilgrims to the Kingdom.

Air Nostrum (Iberia Regional) (Valencia) will fly eight additional routes for Iberia starting on November 1. The new routes from Madrid include Bucharest (weekly), Frankfurt (six times weekly), Marrakech (three times weekly), Munich (four times weekly), Palma de Mallorca (all flights), Tangier (daily), Venice (three times weekly) and Warsaw (weekly).

Aer Lingus has announced the company may be not able to resist another takeover attempt by Ryanair
Last month, Aer Lingus Chief Financial Officer, Sean Coyle said he did not know if Aer Lingus would resist another attempt by Ryanair. The no-frills airline already owns 30% of the national Irish company, which recently posted very bad results. Christoph Muller, the new Executive Manager, is in fact facing an “impossible” challenge in these difficult times: cutting costs and finding new sources of revenue. Without these, he will have no say over what happens next.

For those of us who do not have access to a private jet, traveling on a flight exclusively for business class passengers is the next best thing. We flew Lufthansa’s new all business class service from Chicago to Düsseldorf. As a bonus, our flight had few passengers.
